Positive Direction Of Diode
Apr 10, 2017

When the positive voltage is applied, the positive voltage is very small in the starting part of the forward characteristic, which is insufficient to overcome the blocking effect of the electric field in Pn Junction, and the forward current is almost zero, which is called the dead zone. This does not allow the diode to lead to the positive voltage called the dead zone voltage. When the positive voltage is greater than the dead-zone voltage, the electric field in PN Junction is overcome, the diode leads, and the current increases rapidly with the increase of voltage. In the normal use of the current range, the diode's end voltage is almost unchanged, this voltage is called the positive voltage of the diode.
